1 year mark! mahal ko yung anak ko!
Hi everyone! This letter is gonna be pretty short because not a lot happened this week. Sister elix and I have just been finding, tracting, teaching, lahat! But here’s the letter I wrote to President this week:

This week has been a planting week for Sister Elix and I. We have this group of investigators who are all about on the same level. They feel the truth of our message, they are receptive, they have great experiences with prayer and the book of mormon, but they all struggle with church attendance. Sister Elix and I have really been working with them this week, planting these seeds of faith so that they may have their own desires to come to church. Yesterday, we were pretty disappointed when the investigators that we have been working with so hard, didn’t show up. Honestly, I was pretty frustrated with myself and with them. I asked myself, what more can I do? I've done all I can! At that moment, I prayed to Heavenly Father and asked him to guide me and by the spirit, I may know what to do. As we went out and taught those same investigators that day, I felt a sense of hope and that no effort is wasted. As we taught them I could see their faith continue to grow and their conversion to our message become stronger. I realized that in missionary work, we need to have all the Christlike characteristics. Diligence-never giving up. Patience-with our investigators and ourselves, obedience-so the spirit can teach them, charity-so they will feel our love and Gods love for them. And hope, especially hope. Having hope that one day they will accept the fulness of the gospel and come unto Christ. And actually, that has been our companionship characteristic this week that we are trying to strive for. So this week is definitely going to be a matter of hope and patience!

So this week, I hit my 1 year mark!!!! Ahhhh it’s been so crazy. I can’t believe it’s already been 1 year! I have less than 6 months! AHH! but I am super grateful for these next 6 months to continue to serve the Lord and help those people that are ready to receive the gospel. For my 1 year mark, Sister Elix made me biko, which is my favorite sticky rice! She also made this cute scrapbook of pictures and notes and I almost cried! Best anak ever! She is really too sweet to me! Anyways, I love you all and I hope you are all doing well. Mahal ko po kayo :)
